The CCB API is designed for churches who require integration capabilities for existing applications or for applications you may need to write for needs specific to your church. The CCB API opens up a multitude of possibilities for integration and alternative means of accessing your data.
Secure and Standards Based
The CCB API is a secure, XML based Application Programming Interface (API) based on REST standards. Using REST standards, you are able to call the API using your language of choice (PHP, Perl, .NET, Java, etc.).
The CCB API provides user authentication by supporting additional user accounts that are enabled for API use, with granular control over which API's each user has access to. This allows your church to control who gains access to your data through the API, and which API's that user has access to. So, a customer who has an outside company creating custom web content can provide access to a sub-set of API functionality (ie, small groups, calendar, etc.) based on the specified user login. It's an additional layer of protection for your church.
